OFSAA Results

The OFSAA track and field championships took place late last week, and though your Cougars had a small team of athletes, they all performed well and had a great time.

OFSAA newbies Jesse Hildebrand and Todd Robinson ran well in their races but were unable to crack the finals. Marty Richardson saved his best for day two when he ran a personal best in the intermediate hurdles, almost breaking into the final. Marty promises that grade 12 will be his year. The highlight of the meet for Centennial was no doubt Nic Katulic-Ducharme, who stunned his competition by running with aggression and confidence and qualifying for the final of the sprint hurdles. It was supremely close, but when the dust had settled, Nic had earned himself a bronze medal which he will proudly wear for as long as we’ll let him.

Mr. Lavictoire would like to thank all athletes who worked so hard this year, and offers a special congratulations to graduating Cougars who have been with him since the start: Spencer Giles, Olenka Iwanicki, Carly Davies, Shelby Johnston, and Patrick Dignard.
